Review of Day Therapy written by a patient

Relaxed, non clinical environment. Good to share concerns and experiences with professionals, volunteers and other patients. Whole experience very supportive. Excellent meals - particularly enjoyed as such an effort to cook at home.

The facilitators were caring and very sensitive to the problems of a very desperate group.

Review of Wellbeing Workshop written by a patient

Everyone was very caring and helpful on my last visit I had hurt my back and a member of staff still gave me a wheelchair and helped me to my car. Brilliant care centre I rate them and the sessions a hundred percent.

The group was small sized which enabled personal helps and guidance (and reassurance). The group was similarly minded - very friendly. The instructor (leader) clear and understanding. Very encouraging follow-up video to help continue after classes came to an end. Print outs given every session. Difficult to say how things could be improved. Very satisfied and attended. Thank you.

Review of Counselling Outpatients written by a patient

I felt very welcomed and the staff were very friendly towards myself and husband and my 3 yr old. Felt very relaxed and loved very minute of my session. The staff were amazing and made us feel very welcomed. It's like a breathe of fresh air. Top marks all round.

Despite initial 'misunderstandings' between myself and counsellor, continued with help and found ways through this, to feel able to continue with sessions. Feel most fortunate to be surrounded at langfield by amazing, kind and genuinely caring people. Cannot fault!

Given the amount of work you all have to do you always treated me (and my wife) as individuals. I felt so lost and alone during and after my wife's passing but you managed to help keep our spirits up and gave support to us both (and as a couple) you listen and respect that each person is on their own journey. You made us feel like we mattered (a very special skill you leave and displayed). The only slight issue for me was timescales for my own support. But this was rally due to my own circumstances and sometimes couldn't be with you when I needed you. Thanks for everything you did.

Review of Day Therapy written by a patient

On my first, introductory, visit to Longfield, I was very impressed by the helpful courtesy with which I was treated and by the friendliness of those I met. Rather cynically, I rather expected that this was because I was a new potential patient and it was important to give a good impression. However, my subsequent 12-week course soon dispelled that idea and I must emphasise that on every occasion every member of the staff and volunteer force was helpful, friendly, patient and very wiling to listen and act upon every request without any sign of disagreement or lack of interest, Every one of the patients I spoke to during my time there made the same point - that an atmosphere of calm pervaded everywhere and that the staff were always friendly and helpful. Obviously I cannot speak for any of the other patients on the matter of their personal care and treatment but in my particular case I can only say that everything I experienced was of a very high standard and very professionally provided. I really cannot make any suggestions on possible improvements to the system. All appears to be working well and I hope that this will continue. It will be vital not to let the high standard start to slip
